It is a fast growing submerged pond plant that competes with algae for nutrients, helping keep the water clean and clear. We recommend you choose Anacharis Najas over Anacharis Elodea Densa if you live in AL, CT, CO, ID, IN, IL, MA, ME, MI, MS, NE, NH, NY, OR, PR, SC, VT, WA, WI. California residents please choose other submerged plants such as Hornwort (which is an alleopathic algae retardant), Red Ludwigia, or Mermaid.
