We do our best to ship orders within 1-4 business days of when you place your order. During the winter months and early spring, orders are held until "PROPER PLANTING TIME" for your zone. Check the shipping schedule below for an approximate date as to when your order will be shipped. If you would like your order shipped immediately, please select "SHIP NOW" when checking out and we will be happy to do so. Shipping plants prior to proper planting time for your location does void our plant guarantees. If your order is placed at the end of the week, it will be held until the following week to ensure the plants do not sit over the weekend in transit. All orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday to ensure the plants arrive healthy. Your plant order will be shipped according to transit time, so it will arrive to you without sitting on a truck or in a warehouse over the weekend.
We ship most orders via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail, as our standard shipping services. Some hard goods are shipped via UPS.
Orders shipping to Hawaii and Alaska must be shipped either USPS Priority Mail or Fed Ex Express and may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will contact you to discuss shipping fees if shipping cost exceeds our usual flat rate cost.
Orders shipping to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are only shipped via USPS Priority Mail and may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will contact you to discuss shipping fees if shipping cost exceeds our usual flat rate cost.
Some arguments have been made recently about changing the shipping dates to specific overnight low temperature minimums rather than the plant zone chart. The argument that certain temperatures damage or put aquatic pond plants into dormancy is true so delays in shipping beyond last frost date should sometimes be made depending on which plants are ordered and how sensitive they are to cooler weather.
All orders with pond supplies or hard goods only will be shipped out within 2 to 3 business days of receiving the order.

Below is our 2017 approximate shipping schedule for your plant orders. Many of the plants will not be available until March or Mid-April as they are coming out of their winter dormancy. Hardy plants are shipped according to the schedule below. Tropical plants are held longer, as water temperatures need to be at least 65 degrees for the plants to thrive. Orders are held based on your low night-time temperatures. Once your night time temperatures are no longer below 50 degrees, it is safe to transplant water garden plants. Last frost date is not a good indicator, as the water is still too cold for most pond plants. We check Accu-weather regularly and ship your plants when we feel it is safe for the plants to survive and thrive outdoors.
Shipping plants early does void our plant guarantees.
