Gigantea Water Lily
Large blue-white flowers are held high above the water. Also known as Hudsonia. The flower petals are usually lilac-blue when young, and gradually fade to pale blue, almost white. Gigantea flowers can be up to 10" in diameter, and stand up to a foot and a half above the water surface. Lily pads are bright green, circular with a radial slit, and can be over 2 feet in diameter and have toothed margins. Needs a large pond.
